THE CAT AND THE HATCHET is a twisted unauthorized horror parody of The Cat in the Hat. The film follows two siblings, Ellie and Connor, whose boring day takes a terrifying turn when Scratches the Cat shows up at their house. What begins as a strange and unexpected visit quickly becomes a nightmare as Scratches reveals a twisted sense of humor that is far more sinister than anything Ellie and Connor could have imagined.  Starring Mark Ricci as Scratches the Cat, The Cat and the Hatchet is directed by Cameron Dodd, and produced by Mark Ricci and Kaleb Carmichael, with production from Six Side Studios and Prime Capitol. The short is a non-profit parody unauthorized or affiliated with the official IP.
