Trump lashes out after being laughed at over Nobel Prize push
Trump told a Syracuse crowd the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize given to Navi Pillay discredited Norway after he claimed credit for ending eight conflicts.

Adam Mockler posted a YouTube video titled "Trump PISSED as he gets LAUGHED AT". The channel’s description says the clip breaks down Trump’s Nobel Prize crash out;
The clip rides President Donald Trump’s reaction to being passed over for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. Late on Oct. 9 he posted on his social media platform that his diplomatic record should have brought him far more than a single award, USA TODAY’s Miles J. Herszenhorn reported. “In actuality, I should have won 8 Nobel Peace Prizes, not just 1,” Trump wrote, according to Herszenhorn.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee had that day given the prize to Navi Pillay, an 85-year-old South African jurist, former U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights and International Criminal Court judge. Trump took the snub straight to a Friday night rally at the Oncenter in Syracuse, N.Y., where he was stumping for GOP gubernatorial nominee Bruce Blakeman and Republican attorney general nominee Saritha Komatireddy, Allan Smith reported.
“I’ve never heard of the person. I know a lot of people. I never heard of this particular person, but congratulations, anyway,” Trump said of Pillay, per Smith’s account. He called the choice “an indelible stain on the country of Norway.” He did not stop there. “And this is an indelible stain on the country of Norway and those people that made such a disgraceful and embarrassing decision,” he said. “The Nobel Peace Prize has been forever discredited by a handful of radical ideologues who are antidemocracy and really enemies of civilization, and we will not forget Norway.” The outcome, he added, “is just another sign of how Norway and all these others are ripping off our country.”
Trump told the Syracuse crowd he had ended eight conflicts and therefore earned eight prizes. Idan Kweller of The Jerusalem Post reported that he named India and Pakistan, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Kosovo and Serbia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, Israel and Hamas, and Israel and Iran among them. Smith noted that Trump made no mention of the war in Ukraine. Aaron Blake, writing for RNZ, reported that a Washington Post poll last year found just 22 percent of Americans and 49 percent of Republicans said Trump deserved the Nobel. Blake also wrote that FIFA created its own peace prize and awarded it to Trump last year after a Nobel loss, and that 2025 laureate María Corina Machado offered to share her prize with him after a Venezuela operation. By the time of Blake’s piece, the Iran war Trump launched had already stretched more than seven months.
