Volvo Cars president and CEO Håkan Samuelsson announced plans for 13 new models between 2026 and the end of 2030. Seven models are for Western markets in Europe and the United States and six for China, mixing battery-electric vehicles and third-generation hybrids tailored by region. Western models will use SPA2 and SPA3 architectures and the HuginCore computing platform. SPA2 debuted in 2024 and underpins the EX90 and ES90; SPA3 underpins the EX60. InsideEVs reports both support 800-volt batteries and ultra-fast charging. China models will be developed with Geely using a region-specific technology stack and shared supply chain. Samuelsson said, "Our showrooms will look very different in 2030," and tied the push to regionalised offerings, electrification, Geely synergies, and offers beyond the car. Volvo targets doubled market share and an EBIT margin above 8% from 3.5% in 2025. It has not disclosed models, body styles, or launch sequence.
