Walmart launches $120 Walmart+, Sam’s Club bundle
Walmart on Oct. 20, 2026 launched a $120 annual membership combining Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus, versus $218 bought separately. CEO John Furner announced it in his first broadcast interview as CEO on Good Morning America and in a company statement. The plan is annual only, with no monthly option or free trial. Benefits include free delivery from both, Sam's Club access and member pricing, Peacock or Paramount+, 10 cents per gallon off at over 17,000 stations, and 2% Sam's Cash. Walmart+ annual members can add Sam's Club Plus for $22; current Sam's Club Plus members get Walmart+ free. Amazon Prime costs $139 a year. Furner said Walmart stays focused on low prices and that the bundle puts more money in members' pockets. He noted customer spending stress late in Q1 and rollbacks rising from over 7,000 to about 11,000 by end of Q2. On the Aug. 20, 2026 earnings call, membership fee revenue rose 17% globally. Outlets cited September CPI inflation of 3.7%, gasoline up 34.2%, and groceries up 1.8%. CONTESTED: none found in record.
