Warren Song Among Five Chosen From 155 Submissions

Bo Warren, a longtime songwriter and worship pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, had a song selected for the Kentucky Baptist Convention’s five-song album, “Heaven’s Refrain.” The project received 155 submissions from 107 songwriters before reviewers chose the final five. The songs, written by Kentucky worship leaders and centered on exalting Jesus, will be offered free to Kentucky Baptist churches with sheet music and accompanying tracks. Warren described songwriting as an act of faith, saying it is rewarding when a song connects with others, and said he hopes his hymnlike composition will suit a range of congregations.
