Washington, Nebraska manage running back injuries
Washington could get running back Jayden Limar back for its Halloween-night game at Nebraska after he practiced during the bye week while recovering from an elbow injury. His return would bolster a Huskies backfield also dealing with injuries to Ansu Sanoe, as Washington aims to build on a season-best 186 rushing yards. Nebraska’s running back room is also managing injuries, though Isaiah Mozee has returned to practice, and the bye gave the Huskers time to recover. Nebraska’s key concern is finishing games after fourth-quarter collapses against Indiana and Oregon, with coaches and players both stressing the need to execute better. Washington’s quarterback situation is uncertain after Demond Williams Jr. sustained a rib injury; Elijah Brown has started the last two games, and coach Jedd Fisch has not named a starter.
