PG&E Warns of Potential Shutoffs Across 17 Counties
PG&E may shut off power to about 12,200 customers in portions of 17 Northern and Central California counties as dry conditions, low humidity and gusty winds raise wildfire risk. Possible outages are expected to begin Friday and could continue into the weekend or early Monday, though the utility says it will monitor conditions and notify customers if plans change. Shasta and Tehama counties could see the largest impacts, while about 400 customers in rural parts of Alameda and Napa counties may also be affected. PG&E says customers can check whether their address is in a potential shutoff area through its online updates.
