Sunny Fall Weather, Coastal Nor’easter Hazards
Much of the eastern United States is forecast to have a sunny, dry stretch of fall weather, with cool mornings and afternoon temperatures mostly in the 60s; Baltimore and central Maryland should see little chance of rain, while Philadelphia may reach near 70 Tuesday before returning to seasonable 60s. Frost is possible in suburbs north and west of Philadelphia. A powerful nor’easter is expected to remain offshore, but coastal communities from Maryland to Delaware and New Jersey may face gusty winds, rough surf, beach erosion and some coastal flooding from Tuesday into midweek. Buffalo is also expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid-60s, while Kansas City may warm into the 70s later in the week with few rain chances.
