Showers expected across multiple US regions Thursday
Weather conditions are expected to turn unsettled in several regions Wednesday night and Thursday. Kern County has seen its first widespread rain of the season, with additional showers possible Thursday and a flood watch covering much of the county because of localized flooding and rockslide risks; dry weather is expected by Friday. The Bay Area also faces a chance of showers Thursday, while thunderstorms and brief heavier downpours are possible farther south along the Central Coast. South Texas may see a scattered shower Thursday before drier, warmer weather arrives Friday, though rain chances rise again Sunday through Tuesday. In Maine, a low passing offshore is expected to bring clouds, gusty winds and rough seas Thursday, followed by cooler, sunnier conditions and lighter winds over the weekend.
