Water Disruptions Prompt Boil-Water Advisories Across Four Regions
Kalamazoo will issue a precautionary boil-water advisory starting Oct. 27 for customers on parts of Denner, Summit, West North and Jefferson streets during infrastructure repairs that will temporarily shut off water and reduce pressure; officials expect to lift it by Oct. 30 after testing. Residents should use bottled water or boil tap water for two minutes before drinking or other consumption. In New Orleans East, a water-main break near Morrison Road and Benson Court caused low pressure, prompting an advisory while crews make repairs; residents should boil water or use bottled water for drinking-related needs. Greater Vernon Water customers in North Okanagan, British Columbia, were advised to boil water for at least one minute until sampling confirms it is safe. Gordon, Georgia, also issued an advisory after a main break, with some customers reporting little or no pressure and no restoration timeline announced.
