TxDOT Projects and Overturned Truck Close Lanes Near San Antonio and Houston

San Antonio drivers face overnight and daytime restrictions around the Loop 1604–I-10 interchange, along with additional Loop 1604 and Loop 410 closures, as TxDOT advances three expansion and improvement projects. In Houston, an overturned furniture-carrying 18-wheeler and reported hazardous-material spill shut several lanes of I-10 near I-69 early Friday, causing significant backups; the driver escaped safely, and motorists were advised to use alternate routes. Houston’s 610 South Loop also has weekend closures, including a full westbound shutdown between Broadway Street and Telephone Road from Friday night through early Monday, as well as frontage-road and I-45 connector restrictions. TxDOT and Houston TranStar warn schedules may change and advise drivers to check conditions and allow extra travel time.
