Rain Returns Across Much of Country After Unusually Dry October
Much of the country is starting November warmer than usual, with rain returning after an unusually dry October. Philadelphia is expected to stay mild and mostly dry through Wednesday, with rain mainly Thursday and Friday; Election Day is forecast to be sunny and dry. Chicago and parts of Illinois face showers through the week, then cooler weather late in the week, though temperatures will often remain above normal. Southern Colorado is forecast to have a cool, wet start, with rain and mountain snow possible Monday, gusty winds and flood watches in the southwest, followed by drier weather. Mississippi could see storms and heavy rain with a Tuesday night cold front, with dry conditions expected to return later in the week.
