Warming Weekend Forecasts Include Flood Warnings Along Arizona Rivers
Forecasts across several U.S. regions point to mostly dry weather through the weekend, with sunshine and warming temperatures in many areas. Western South Dakota is expected to warm from the 50s and 60s to near 70 Sunday; Phoenix should reach the low 80s, while Southern Arizona is forecast to have highs in the mid-70s and cool nights. Pittsburgh may remain cloudy and cool at first, and eastern Pennsylvania is expected to turn drier and cooler after late-week rain and mild temperatures. South Central Texas should see comfortable temperatures in the 70s and low humidity after a weak front, with only a small chance of a stray shower; isolated rain chances are also noted in eastern Arizona. Flood warnings remain in effect along the Salt and Verde rivers because of elevated flows from dam releases, and no widespread storms are forecast.
