Weigman Leads No. 23 Houston Against Oregon State

Houston senior quarterback Conner Weigman enters the 2026 season as the centerpiece of a No. 23 Cougars team viewed by some as a dark-horse College Football Playoff contender. After throwing for 2,705 yards and 25 touchdowns and rushing for 700 yards and 11 scores last season, Weigman has benefited from a healthy offseason, continuity with offensive coordinator Slade Nagle and an improved supporting cast.
