West Virginia Task Force Investigates 2005 Teen Murders
West Virginia’s State Police Cold Case Task Force has reopened the 2005 “Prom Night Murders,” in which four teenagers—Megan Poston, Michael Dillon, Eddrick Clark and Donté Ward—were killed after attending Huntington High School’s prom. No arrests have been made, despite a long-running investigation by Huntington police, who will continue to lead the case while working with the state task force. State Sen. Mike Woelfel says the task force’s additional staffing and technology could help bring accountability and some measure of closure to the victims’ families and community.
