Western Alaska forecast: 80-mph winds, coastal flooding

Forecasts across Washington and Oregon call for mostly sunny, mild conditions early in the week, followed by cooler weather and a chance of rain late in the week and over the weekend; some inland and higher-elevation areas could also see mountain snow showers. Southwest Washington surf is expected to remain rough under onshore winds early in the week, with a possible improvement as offshore winds return Sunday or Monday, though that window is uncertain and could be shorter than forecast.
