Wilmington Man Arrested in Alleged Four-Business Robbery Spree
Wilmington police arrested Bruce Orr, 60, in connection with four overnight armed and attempted robberies at local businesses on Oct. 25-26. The incidents included demands for cash at three gas stations and a restaurant; police say the suspect threatened cashiers, pointed a firearm through a drive-through window and forced a station manager to open a register and safe. Investigators linked the incidents to the same suspect and vehicle, located the vehicle at an apartment complex on Cedarwood Drive, and arrested Orr there later Monday, seizing cash and other evidence. Orr faces three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and one count of second-degree kidnapping, and is being held without bond.
