Wilmington Officers Reunite With Family After Delivery

Wilmington, Massachusetts, first responders reunited with Tatiana Topala and her family after two officers helped deliver her baby, Oliver, at the family’s Lowell Street home in the early hours of Oct. 28. Officer Jack Rooney arrived first, with Officer Kyle Collins, dispatchers and emergency medical personnel also assisting as the labor progressed rapidly. The healthy baby was born before the mother and newborn were taken to a hospital. Topala thanked the responders for staying calm and helping her feel safe, and both she and Oliver are doing well.
