Wisconsin trooper dies after I-94 pursuit fall

Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper Bradley Ritger, 29, died Oct. 2 from injuries sustained during a Sept. 21 pursuit on Interstate 94 in western Wisconsin. He fell from a bridge onto the roadway below after deploying a tire-deflation device; the fleeing driver was later arrested. A memorial cruiser was placed outside the State Patrol’s Eau Claire post, and the public may leave tributes there. Public visitation is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 9, at Chippewa Valley Bible Church in Chippewa Falls, with a private funeral service and law-enforcement honors planned for Saturday.
