Wisconsin volleyball rebounds with four-set Michigan win
No. 6 Wisconsin volleyball lost a tight five-set match to No. 21 Washington, then bounced back two days later with a four-set win over Michigan. Against Washington, freshman Decelise Champion recorded 20 kills and 11 digs, while setter Charlie Fuerbringer had 55 assists; Washington’s Simona Mateska led all players with 31 kills. The Badgers struggled against Washington’s defense and pin blocking, and late service and reception errors helped decide the 18-16 fifth set. Wisconsin responded against Michigan as Champion again led the team with 20 kills, and Eva Travis added 10 kills while hitting .500.
