Witch rides raise funds, set Orlando world record
Halloween-themed witch rides drew crowds in several communities, combining seasonal festivities with fundraising and awareness efforts. In St. Andrews, Florida, hundreds joined the 10th annual Ride for the Cure, which included a bike ride and golf-cart parade to support pancreatic cancer efforts. In St. Francisville, Louisiana, the sixth annual Witches Ride raised awareness and funds for the Purple House Foundation’s services for domestic abuse victims. Orlando’s Halloween celebration took a different turn when 184 witch-costumed participants rode The Orlando Eye, setting a record for the most people dressed as witches on an observation wheel.
