A 50-year-old woman was critically injured Friday morning when a car struck her as she walked in a crosswalk at North Macy Street and West Johnson Street in Fond du Lac. Police say a 30-year-old Fond du Lac man was driving east on West Johnson Street when the collision occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m. The woman was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to a trauma center. The crash remains under investigation.
