Woman describes how each generation acts after boarding a flight
Kristen Almasan recorded herself on a plane and added a caption that read every generation on a flight. She posted the short clip online and it soon spread widely among people who recognized the patterns she showed. In the first part of the video Almasan portrayed a boomer traveler who greeted the person nearby with questions about their day and hometown. She described past trips from the nineteen nineties and mentioned liking the window seat for the view of clouds before pausing only to ask whether the traveler had children. Next she showed a gen x traveler wearing sunglasses and stretched out asleep with a half eaten bag of chips resting on the tray table. Viewers later wrote that this matched their own habit of blocking out conversation and focusing on movies or music during flights. Almasan then depicted a millennial who gave a brief nod to seatmates before placing earbuds in and turning to a phone screen. One commenter said the moment captured exactly how many in that group prefer quiet time without interruption. For gen z she wore white headphones and took several selfies from different angles before photographing the bag of chips and appearing to share the image online. The sequence highlighted the quick use of devices once seated. The final sketch showed a gen alpha traveler with large headphones who scrolled while eating chips and chewing gum then tapped the armrest to ask how long the flight would last and whether juice was available. The character pointed at something outside and wondered if it was a bird before growing tired and falling asleep. After the video gained more than two hundred thirty thousand likes many people left comments agreeing with parts of the portrayal while others noted small differences such as ordering a drink or correcting grammar in conversation. The clip continued to circulate as viewers shared their own flight experiences.
