Xi Urges BRICS Role in Middle East Peace

At the BRICS Summit in New Delhi, Chinese President Xi Jinping urged member countries to take a leading role in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and Gulf region. He said the ongoing war has caused serious losses across the region and does not serve the international community’s common interests. Xi called on BRICS nations to “stand on the right side of history” and said China was prepared to work with other members to help restore peace and tranquility.
