Search Continues for Missing Florida Paddler

A multi-agency search continues off Jupiter, Florida, for 48-year-old Matt Pawlowski, who was last seen around 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, paddling east about four miles offshore on a 14-foot lime-green-and-yellow paddleboard. He was wearing a white hat, orange shirt and gray shorts. A boater or Good Samaritan found a matching paddleboard about 10 miles offshore near Jupiter Island, but Pawlowski remains missing. Coast Guard aircraft and vessels, Jupiter police, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, county sheriff’s offices and other agencies are searching using his last known position and drift patterns.
