Sumter Man Charged After Woman Shot

A domestic dispute at a Cheyne Street home in Sumter, South Carolina, led to a shooting that wounded a 34-year-old woman. She was treated at a hospital and released. Robert Lee Young Jr., 35, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Several juveniles inside the home were unharmed, and nearby Lemira Elementary School briefly restricted access while officers responded.
