Children Injured in Tulsa, Troy and Harris County
In Harris County, a 6-year-old was injured in an auto-pedestrian crash and taken to a hospital; officials said the child would be airlifted for further care, but the child’s condition and the cause of the crash have not been released. In Tulsa, an 8-year-old boy suffered a broken leg after being struck by a car near the fairgrounds while crossing with his mother; witnesses said crossing lights were flashing and the boy ran ahead into the vehicle’s path. The boy was reported stable, and the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated as police investigate whether charges are warranted. In a separate incident outside an elementary school in Troy, an 8-year-old sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car; police said the child may have entered the road from between parked vehicles, and the driver is cooperating.
