Fresno Man Charged in Tulare Woman’s Killing

Tulare County deputies arrested Aguilar in connection with a Richgrove homicide after a two-week investigation; authorities say he had been released in May after serving time for a separate murder and was arrested again four months later. In Tulare, 41-year-old Fresno resident Marcelo Rodriguez was arrested and charged with homicide after police say he assaulted a woman at a party and took her away; she was found fatally injured about 90 minutes later, and he was later detained by the California Highway Patrol in Kings County on suspicion of DUI, with blood on his clothing and body. In a separate Vallejo case, a man was booked on multiple felony charges after allegedly assaulting a woman during an argument and concealing a loaded, unserialized firearm; police said he was on probation and had prior firearm-related felony convictions.
