Human Remains Found in North Carolina and Louisiana

Authorities are investigating two separate discoveries of human remains. In southeast Catawba County, North Carolina, deputies confirmed remains were found near Catawba Valley Boulevard on Oct. 14; investigators and the medical examiner are working to identify the deceased and determine the cause of death. In Bridge City, Louisiana, skeletal remains found in a wooded area near U.S. Highway 90 on Oct. 5 were confirmed to be human but have not been identified. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking information from the public.
