Santa Rosa Police Name Suspect in Family Gun Threat

Santa Rosa police say a driver in a gray pickup threatened a family of four, including children ages 2 and 8, with a handgun and yelled gang-related challenges as they walked home from a park Sunday afternoon; no one was injured. Officers later located the truck and detained four men nearby. Police identified 19-year-old Antonio Francisco Ramirez as the alleged gunman and said a 17-year-old from Windsor was a passenger; a loaded, stolen handgun was recovered from Ramirez. Both were arrested on suspicion of firearm-related offenses and criminal street gang participation, among other charges. A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violating probation and was not involved in the original incident; the fourth person was released.
