Man Critically Injured in Bridgeport Park Rock Attack

A man was found unresponsive with a severe head injury beneath a bicycle-rack overhang at B.J. Brown Park in Bridgeport around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, with a blood-covered rock nearby. He remains in critical condition at St. Vincent’s Hospital, and police have not identified him; detectives believe he may be homeless and asleep when attacked. Police are investigating and asking the public for help identifying the man and finding the assailant; they are also looking into whether the attack is connected to reported assaults on a homeless encampment in Milford.
