Northwest Oklahoma City Shootings Kill One, Injure Another

Two separate shootings occurred in northwest Oklahoma City. A Friday-night shooting near Northwest 122nd Street and May Avenue killed one person; police released few details and said they were not actively searching for anyone. On Saturday afternoon, a person identified in one report as a juvenile male was shot in the leg near Northwest 97th Street and Britton Road and hospitalized in unknown condition. Police said shots were fired in an alleyway and toward a pickup truck; witnesses and people involved were uncooperative, no one was reported in custody, and investigators were trying to determine what led to the shooting. A resident said the incident heightened concern about recurring neighborhood violence.
