Phoenix Police Investigate Two Women’s Deaths

Phoenix police are investigating the death of Kiersten Fabiani, 61, who died Sunday after being found with severe injuries under a car on Oct. 8; authorities said her injuries were consistent with an assault. In a separate Laveen homicide, a woman was found dead Saturday morning near 35th Avenue and Roeser Road, with reports saying she was behind a bus stop and had been stabbed in the abdomen. Most reports said the woman had not been publicly identified, while one identified her as 41-year-old Cynthia Saenz and described the location as a home near the intersection. Both investigations are ongoing, and police are seeking tips.
