Clovis Sting Targeting Trafficking Nets Nine Arrests
A two-day undercover operation in Clovis targeting human trafficking and crimes involving child predators resulted in nine arrests, with assistance from the California Department of Justice and nonprofit Breaking the Chains. Seven suspects were arrested without incident; another suspect, identified as William Vallejo, allegedly fled police and was apprehended after a pursuit ended in a five-vehicle crash at Shields and Armstrong avenues. Three adults received medical attention, and an infant was taken to a hospital as a precaution. Police said multiple trafficking victims were connected with Breaking the Chains for support. Authorities are still seeking 36-year-old Kyle Riechel, who is wanted on several felony charges.
