Three Inmates Escape From Hospitals

Gregory Redden, a 63-year-old Tennessee inmate serving a sentence for a 2010 aggravated-robbery conviction, escaped from custody at Nashville General Hospital Wednesday afternoon while receiving treatment, despite wearing handcuffs and leg shackles. He was apprehended Wednesday evening and returned to Tennessee Department of Correction custody. In separate incidents, Tyquan Rashon Shaw escaped from a deputy at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina, and Devin Jacob Quick escaped from Chippenham Hospital in Virginia; both were captured, and authorities reviewed or investigated the incidents. Shaw knocked a nurse to the floor, and Quick was returned to the hospital for treatment of exposure and injuries.
