Man Convicted of Assault, Robbery of Blind Woman
A Milford jury convicted Stamford resident Terrell Meynard, 44, of home invasion, third-degree burglary, first-degree robbery and first-degree sexual assault in the 2024 attack on a legally blind woman at her West Haven massage parlor. Prosecutors said he forced his way inside, restrained and threatened the woman, sexually assaulted her, and stole $600, credit cards, identification and her phones. Investigators used license-plate and cellphone data, cell-site records and DNA evidence to identify him; sentencing reports differ, listing dates in January 2027. Separately, a New Haven man, James S. Miller Jr., was convicted of sexually assaulting two children under 10 and two counts of risk of injury to a minor for offenses committed between 2012 and 2014.
