Paris-Area Shooting Investigated as Suspected Terrorist Attack

A shooting in Trappes and nearby La Verrière, west of Paris, killed one person and injured at least four after a gunman reportedly fired from a vehicle at people in the streets. Police arrested a 38-year-old suspect in nearby Coignières, and authorities have not disclosed a motive. French prosecutors are investigating the incident as a suspected terrorist attack, while Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu said security forces and judicial authorities were fully mobilized.
