Report Alleges Russian, Dutch Intelligence Exposed Kushner Accounts

A Vanity Fair excerpt from journalist Matthew Cole’s forthcoming book alleges Russian and Dutch intelligence operations exposed Jared Kushner’s access to Middle Eastern bank accounts; it also says Dutch intelligence monitored his iPhone after finding screenshots on a Russian military intelligence server. The accounts were reportedly linked to Saudi and Emirati leaders and included a First Abu Dhabi Bank account that received roughly $750 million, where Kushner was allegedly a signatory; other accounts and transfers allegedly brought the total to more than $2 billion. The funds were purportedly intended to advance unofficial diplomatic objectives, and the allegations have not been independently verified or established as findings of wrongdoing. Kushner has called the claims false, and President Donald Trump has also denied them. Kushner’s lawyer, Chad Mizelle, says the legal team put Vanity Fair and Condé Nast on notice, demanding evidence, information about the magazine’s fact-checking, removal of the article, and preservation of relevant records.
