Two arrested after Pike Road bank robbery, chase
Two men were arrested after a robbery at Brantley Bank on Vaughn Road in Pike Road, Alabama, on Thursday morning. Authorities identified them as James Bernard Matthews, 59, and Albert Devon Dorsey, 53; court filings say Matthews demanded money from a teller and took just over $3,200, while Dorsey waited in the getaway car. Deputies located the vehicle and pursued it for about 15 miles into Montgomery, where it crashed near the Union Street exit on Interstate 85. Both men suffered minor injuries, and no one else was hurt. Matthews and Dorsey face first-degree robbery charges, and Dorsey also faces a felony charge of attempting to elude police.
