Utah Man Indicted in Synagogue Bomb Threat Case

Federal prosecutors indicted 22-year-old Ogden resident Skyler AJ Rose on charges including attempting to commit a hate crime, alleging he made online threats in December 2025 to kill Jews and blow up a synagogue. Investigators say a search of his home uncovered six improvised pipe bombs, bomb-making materials, and two rifles with ammunition; nearby homes were evacuated while the devices were disarmed. Authorities say Rose had searched online for a nearby synagogue, and his phone contained child sexual abuse material, leading to additional charges. The indictment also includes charges of possessing an unregistered destructive device and threatening people and a building with an explosive.
