Seattle police find more than 200 casings at two North shootings

Seattle police are investigating two shootings in North Seattle within days of each other, both involving extensive gunfire and no suspects in custody. Saturday morning, more than 80 casings from rifles and handguns were found near North 107th Street and Stone Way North; bullets struck homes and vehicles, and one entered an apartment, nearly hitting a resident. Witnesses saw a bullet-damaged black sedan flee, but officers were unable to find it. In a separate Thursday-night shooting near Aurora Avenue North and North 100th Street, police found nearly 120 casings and reported damage to nearby businesses, with no victims found at the scene. The incidents add to community concerns about persistent gun violence in the neighborhood.
