U.S. Border Patrol agents seized about 51.9 pounds of suspected fentanyl from a Honda CR-V during anti-smuggling operations on Interstate 15 near Mission Road in Fallbrook. A Border Patrol K-9 alerted agents to the vehicle, and a search uncovered 22 bundles in a duffel bag in the back seat. The driver and suspected drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for criminal prosecution.
