Riyadh Airport Partially Reopens Amid Houthi Threat
Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport partially resumed domestic and international operations after a two-week shutdown prompted by a Houthi attack that killed 13 people and wounded more than 300. Flight activity remained limited, with most flights cancelled, as the Houthis claimed fresh strikes and warned that the airport remained a military target. Saudi authorities and the Saudi-led coalition said they intercepted missiles and drones aimed at Riyadh and other locations; falling shrapnel injured two people and damaged homes and vehicles in southern Saudi Arabia. Bangladesh’s Biman Airlines extended its suspension of flights to Riyadh and Dammam through November 4 and directed passengers to Jeddah and Medina instead.
