Ex-Wife Reportedly Authored 2019 Markle Abuse Letter

Roslyn Loveless, Thomas Markle Sr.’s former wife and mother of two of his children, has been identified in reports as the author of a 2019 letter to London’s Metropolitan Police alleging he had engaged in child sex offenses. The Met confirmed receiving a letter that year with claims about alleged offending outside the U.K.; it passed the letter to Prince Harry and Meghan’s office but did not share its allegations with other law enforcement agencies, and is reviewing its handling of the matter. Markle has denied the allegations. Separately, Philippine authorities are investigating claims that he possessed child sexual abuse material, which he has also denied; the allegations have not been established, and authorities say further investigation is needed.
