Laredo-Area Double Homicide Suspect Remains at Large
Raul Ramos Moreno, 43, and Gustavo Ramos Moreno, 40, were killed in a shooting late Saturday at a home in Pueblo Nuevo, about 11 miles east of Laredo; one died at the scene and the other at a hospital. Webb County authorities have issued two murder warrants for 39-year-old Manuel De Jesus Cruz-Estudillo, who remains at large and was last seen driving a black Volkswagen Atlas SUV. Law enforcement agencies, including Mexican authorities, are assisting in the search, as Cruz-Estudillo has family in Mexico. Officials say they believe the suspect acted alone and the shooting was an isolated incident, but have not disclosed a motive; a reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to his arrest.
