Pedestrian Crashes Kill Three, Injure Others

Separate pedestrian crashes in California, Connecticut and Calgary left at least three people dead and others seriously injured. In south Sacramento, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by two vehicles whose drivers fled; in El Sobrante, a pedestrian was killed in a crash involving a red Chevrolet pickup. A pedestrian was seriously injured in a Danbury hit-and-run, where a witness reported seeing a white Mercedes Sprinter van nearby. In Calgary, one pedestrian suffered life-altering injuries in a two-vehicle collision in which both drivers stayed at the scene. In a separate Calgary incident, a pedestrian died after being run over twice at a parking-lot entrance; that driver stayed at the scene.
