Thieves Steal 3,000 Pounds of Crab in Philadelphia

Six men stole about 3,000 pounds of frozen snow crab—roughly 100 boxes—from a tractor-trailer parked on Island Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia early Tuesday, police said. The driver was asleep in the truck when he heard activity outside; after he got out, one suspect chased him away. The group fled in several vehicles, including a gray Ford F-150 and a gray Dodge Caravan, and the investigation is ongoing.
