Two Stabbed at Elk Grove High School
Two people were stabbed Wednesday afternoon at Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove. Both victims were taken to a hospital. Their conditions were not released by authorities. Elk Grove police and Sacramento County sheriff's deputies responded to the campus following the incident. Initial reports indicated that one person was in custody. Officials later revised that figure and said two people had been detained. Police said one of the suspects is believed to have stabbed both victims. The school lockdown that followed the stabbing was lifted by about 5 p.m. It remains unclear whether the victims or the detained individuals were students or school employees. Available accounts do not identify any of the people involved by name and do not state what charges, if any, have been filed.
