Police Scotland opens inquiries into Andrew Balmoral stays with Epstein

Police Scotland is conducting early-stage, evidence-led inquiries into Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s stays at Balmoral with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, after receiving information about their visits to the King’s private estate. Reports say Epstein and Maxwell visited in 1999, reportedly at Andrew’s invitation, and images said to show the group at or near the estate were later shown at Maxwell’s trial; Andrew’s identification in one photograph has not been verified. Separate media reports have raised claims that women were trafficked to the estate, but the available reports do not establish those claims. Andrew was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office over his Epstein links and remains under investigation. Police have not disclosed further details about the Balmoral inquiries, citing the ongoing inquiries and the needs of victim survivors.
