Second Man Charged in 1995 Iowa Cold-Case Murder
Lindell Jackson, 50, of Waterloo, was arrested Oct. 28 and charged with first-degree murder in the 1995 shooting death of Angela Buck, 37, whose body was found beside a creek in rural Black Hawk County. His arrest followed that of Kelly Grant, 59, of Minnesota, who was charged with the same crime earlier in October. Court documents describe a fight at a Waterloo home, witnesses seeing the men force Buck into a vehicle, and an alleged motive based on a belief that she had informed police about drug dealing. Jackson was already jailed in an unrelated case, and local and state agencies investigated the murder after more than three decades without a resolution. Both men are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
